Dr. Martin Corley

Dr. Martin Corley

Head of Psychology

Dr. Corley studied Psychology and Linguistics at Edinburgh as an undergraduate before moving to Exeter, where he worked as a Research Fellow and completed his PhD.  He moved back to Edinburgh to take up a lectureship in 1995. He specializes in statistical methods, the psychology of language production and comprehension.

Dr Hugh Rabagliati

Chancellor's Fellow; Lecturer

Hugh Rabagliati is a developmental psychologist who studies how children learn to talk and think. He studied at Oxford, New York University, and Harvard, before coming to Edinburgh in 2013. He is part of the Wee Science group of developmental psychologists here in PPLS.

Sue Widdicombe

Dr Sue Widdicombe

Dr Widdicombe specialises in the study of the self and identity, and how these differ as a function of group membership and culture.

Prof Robert Logie

Professor

Professor Robert Logie's work focuses on the cognition of human memory, particularly working memory, in the healthy, ageing, and damaged brain. His work includes models of working memory as well as tests designed to detect Alzheimer's Disease and dementia early in their etiology.

Professor Pickering's research focuses on language and communication, including production, comprehension, dialogue, and bilingualism.

Dr Adam Moore

Course Organiser; Lecturer

Dr Adam Moore is the Course Organiser for Psychology 1, and teaches the narrative/big picture lectures that precede each set of two topics. He received his PhD from Princeton University before completing a post-doctoral research position at the Center for Advanced Brain Imaging, at the Georgia Institute for Technology. He joined the University of Edinburgh in 2012.
